Background Information :

In addition to advertising, we solicited bids for 1 Year Fortigate 8x5 Service Agreement (Specification Attached). We received bids from three (3) companies, which are summarized on the bid request tally sheet. CDW and Central Technologies both submitted $12,500.00 causing a rebid. Bids are summarized on the bid request tally sheet. Individual bids were as follows:

Howard Technology  – $13,945.00
CDW – $12,455.34
Central Technologies – $12,370.00

Staff Recommendation:

We recommend approval of the lowest bid that meets all the specifications from Central Technologies. With this approval, it is the intent of the Board and management that no liability will be incurred, nor a purchase order issued, until the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2018.
